CREATIVE CANARIAN CUISINE RESTAURANT

La Tegala is a reinvention of the traditional concept of Canarian restaurant. It’s a personal, wide, and creative view that comes from the hands and experience of Daniel Jiménez, chef and creative director.

It’s a fusion between the global and the local. The local has the meaning of product of proximity, quality, and resignification of the raw materials offered by the volcanic nature of the islands and the wild Atlantic. The global refers to the production techniques and the format.

OUR CONCEPT /

We design the menus under our concept, a gastronomic journey through the archipelago that shows the cultural richness and the confluence of talent and good work in such a special enclave.

We recover dishes, snacks, starters, and products from our islands and apply modern cooking techniques to them.

We pair our vision of creative Canarian cuisine with a selection of Canarian volcanic wines from small wineries that combine craftsmanship and tradition. We also have a selection of craft beers, with flavours and notes that perfectly match our menus.

La Tegala takes its name from the small stone huts or fences in which shepherds used to shelter from the weather.

It is a recognition of all the producers and farmers of Lanzarote who have dedicated their lives to putting the best possible product on the table.

THE SPACE /

The place where the time stands still.

Our restaurant overlooks the winding and volcanic profile of Lanzarote and the closest islands, Lobos Island and Fuerteventura. While you enjoy our menus, you’ll be delighted with a landscape dotted with white houses and palm trees and a privileged sunset overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

The sunsets at La Tegala are pure magic.

As with our gastronomic offer, our space is a mix of modernity and tradition. A balance between values to preserve and a constant attempt to improve what already exists.
